Values Education

At Hopton CEVC Primary School we live out the words of Jesus in Matthew 19 vs 26 'With God all things are possible'.

What is ‘Values for Life’?

‘VALUES FOR LIFE’ was initially produced by Gloucester Diocese and is used widely across Suffolk in both church and community schools. It helps schools focus clearly on things which should be at the heart of the community when they gather together for Collective Worship.

At Hopton we focus on one theme each half  term so that they can be adequately developed both in Collective Worship and also in the life of the school as a whole. We have recently revisited our values, whilst developing the school vision and creating our new curriculum drivers.  As a team we have looked closely at how we can seemingly link values and curriculum into our over arching vision. The result has been inspiring.

We extend the current value beyond Collective Worship into the classroom, on displays around the school and in communications home to deepen its impact.
